Assistant Project Manager – October 2021

Assistant Project Manager to join our team of Architects and Project Managers to prepare budgets for residential building and remodeling projects. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the company’s project team and will be involved from preliminary client meetings to project completion.

 

Overall Responsibility:

Prepare designs, estimates, and assist in managing projects

 

Educational Requirements:

A degree or training in Architecture or Construction Management

Administrative and Operational Tasks:

  • Meet with the clients to determine needs and budget
  • Prepare designs
    • Prepare preliminary drawings through construction documents
    • Prepare estimates
    • Keep price database up to date
    • Estimate change orders
    • Request sub-contractor and supplier quotes
    • Review actual job costs against budgeted numbers
    • Develop new estimating forms as required
    • Source materials and subcontractors for projects
  • Prepare specifications and contracts
  • Prepare preliminary project schedules
  • Prepare paperwork and obtain construction permits
  • Find new sources of products as the need arises
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget
  • Keep up to date in trends in construction and design
  • Keep office and job sites clean as need arises
  • Assist in the development of marketing plan
  • Inspect job sites to monitor progress and fill out job site reports if required
  • Coordinate with superintendents and subcontractors

 

Salary:

Base Salary – Depends on experience level
