“It was always my dream to work at WBA while I was in college,” says Sydney. She grew up in the area and got her bachelor’s degree at New England Tech in interior design in 2021. She worked at Northeast Flooring in Putnam while in college and then for the Town of Killingly as an admin for the building official and fire marshal.
“I like talking to the clients and getting the details of their project, what they want their new space to look like,” she says of her work at WBA. “I like to see their excitement about how we’re going to do that for them.” She would love to help plan a full house from start to finish and maybe even design her own home some day.
Sydney lives in an apartment on a multigenerational family property on a local lake with her fur babies Maggie, the bulldog, and Romeo the cat. She loves paddleboarding, swimming and walks around the lake. She also enjoys following Boston sports (Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots), reading and watching psychologically oriented documentaries.
Fun Fact: “I’m trying to do more things by myself,” says Sydney. “I want to someday go on a full vacation by myself. Traveling alone, you don’t have to worry about anybody else.”
