The Opportunity

In this construction role you will work directly under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson and assist on our projects using your variety of skills and team player mindset while conforming to local building codes.

We are looking for construction workers with diverse skills including demolition, light framing, finish carpentry, painting etc.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 plus years residential carpentry experience is a must
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism
  • Drug & Alcohol free workplace
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation and personal hand & power tools
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Overall Responsibility:

Assist Lead Carpenters / Superintendents

Immediate Supervisor:

Lead Carpenter / Superintendent

Administrative Tasks:

  • Complete daily timecard
  • Keep up to date on the latest rough and finish carpentry methods

Operational Tasks:

  • Always keep job site clean
  • Always keep the shop clean
  • Always follow WBA’s safety procedures
  • Assist Lead Carpenters/Superintendents in both rough and finish carpentry tasks
  • Install rough framing
  • Install wallboard and finish as required
  • Install siding – make provisions for any venting requirements
  • Install deck railing, post, and porch ceilings
  • Install trim
  • Install subflooring and hardwood flooring
  • Install all screens and grilles in windows and doors
  • Install all finish hardware
  • Install all appliances
  • Install sidewalks as required
  • Assist in completing punchlist
